Before approving AI transformation, know what the whole process will cost.
The question Delta answersFor a process that qualifies for transformation, what does it cost to run today, what would it cost as an AI-native process, what must be invested, and which benefits would really change the economics?
Enterprise Delta turns a qualified process into an economic decision the enterprise can defend. It builds the full operating cost today and after the change, including the whole AI layer and the investment, keeps the quality of every benefit visible, and gives leadership a governed economic case. Leadership decides.

- Why it is hard
- Budgets hide the processPeople sit in operations, suppliers in procurement, platforms in IT and controls in risk. No budget shows what one process costs to run.
- A token price is not a run costCompare AI with the IT budget and the remaining people, the full AI layer and the investment go missing.
- Returns are argued, then forgottenThe case is made at approval and rarely checked against what the running process actually costs.
02 · The economic object
The economics start with a process whose boundaries have been questioned.
Delta does not rediscover the process. It starts from Cortex’s Qualified Process Case, and only a process that qualifies goes forward.
From that case Delta defines an economic object: the boundary, the unit of work, demand and volume, the activities and the cost pools the process consumes. Each item keeps its source, and gaps stay open.

Hippokeeps the lineage of each case and decision. It does not fill evidence gaps, and neither does Delta.
No qualification, no economic case. A negative result is not routed around.

A smaller cost base is not automatically a cash saving.
Delta costs everything the AI-native process would need, and keeps every kind of value apart.
Remaining people, suppliers, technology and controls; AI consumption, platform, oversight, evaluation and reliability; and the one-off investment to get there.
Addressable is not feasible, feasible is not absorbed, and absorbed is not cash.

Delta’s deliverable is the Certified Economic Process Case.
It holds the economic conclusion, the evidence and assumptions behind it, and the decision it is meant to support, with every version kept.
Hippo · across every stageKeeps the case, its evidence and assumptions, the decision it supported and every later version.
Delta works fromA Qualified Process Case from Cortex; the enterprise’s cost figures; the AI-native operating model, the AI Cost Layer and the investment; later, runtime evidence where an approved change runs.
Delta producesCurrent and Future Process TCO; the three kinds of value; unit economics; sensitivity; a payback estimate where justified; the Certified Economic Process Case; later, actual cost against the case.
The economic case and the decision to act are different things, owned by different people.

Two ways to understand process economics. Different evidence. Different decisions.
Both use the same Process Economics discipline. They start from different evidence and lead to different decisions.

- A decision package and a structured dataset

- Declared data, not independently evidenced

A governed economic case for a Cortex-qualified process
Delta starts from evidence that Cortex has qualified and produces the economic case leadership decides on.
You leave with
- The Certified Economic Process Case, with its evidence, assumptions and sensitivity
- Later, actual cost compared with the case, where an approved change runs
Limits
- Needs a process that Cortex has qualified

Where Delta stops. It does not discover or mine processes, manage cloud cost, act as a finance dashboard or a generic ROI calculator, build or run the change, or approve it.
