01 · Delta-Lite
Understand the work. Explore its AI future. Take forward the economic decision.
One named process, from declared operating reality to an owner-reviewed economic case.
Your team sets out how the process really runs and what it costs, works out where AI could realistically change it and what that would be worth, and the process owner reviews the case before it is published.
A paid, standalone workbench for one process. It needs no other PurpleAI product.
02 · The assessment journey
From the process people describe to a case its owner has reviewed.
Your team contributes what it knows. The workbench turns it into evidence and economics, one stage at a time.
Estimates are allowed and labelled as estimates. Provisional results appear early, without implying approval.

1Understand the process
Map the work as it really runs
The process boundary, its steps and activities, where friction and handoffs slow it down, the people and technology it depends on, how the work divides between routine, assisted, exception and judgement, and its fully loaded cost.

2Explore the AI future
Design how the work could change
Which activities AI could take on or assist, what stays with people, the candidate AI use cases, and a practical future operating model in which every current activity is kept, removed, simplified, automated, assisted, transferred or redesigned.

3Test what is realistic
Model absorption, cost and risk
How much change the organisation can realistically absorb given readiness and risk; the full AI run cost, remaining people and technology cost and the investment; payback and break-even across conservative, expected and ambitious scenarios, with sensitivity.

4Review and publish
Put the case to its owner
The process owner reviews the declared process and assumptions at a fixed version, then requests changes or approves. The published case stays linked to its inputs, owners, assumptions, limitations and evidence; a later material change becomes a new version for review.

Stages 2 and 3 · why the case stays realistic
What AI could do is not what the process will gain.
Each step narrows the opportunity, and each is shown separately with its reasoning.
AddressableWork AI could do or assist
FeasibleWhat can work with this process, its data and its technology
AbsorbableWhat the organisation can realistically take up, given readiness and risk
CashCounted as cash only when finance confirms the change. Otherwise it is reported as released capacity or avoided cost.
Bar lengths are illustrative. Risks change results only through a stated consequence (blocking, capping, deferring or disclosing), never through a blanket discount.
Conservative by default: released hours count as cash only when finance confirms the change.

A decision package ready for the next investment conversation.
From scattered process assumptions to one coherent, traceable case.
Each part answers a question the process owner will be asked next.
Process reality map Steps · friction · dependencies
Dark tags mark friction. Dashed steps stay with people.
Use it to agree what the process actually is, and where it loses time and money.

Understand the evidence boundary04 · Evidence and accountability
Clear about what is declared, what is reviewed and what is still to be established.
Every material figure carries its origin, owner and version.
So the case is honest about its evidence, and the people using it know how far to rely on it.
In Delta-Lite
What the team declares
The people who run the process describe it and supply its figures.
- Steps, activities, volumes and effort
- Costs, with their source and attribution
- Friction, dependencies, readiness and risks
- Estimates, labelled as estimates
In Delta-Lite
What the process owner reviews
The accountable owner reviews a fixed version of the case and approves it or asks for changes.
- The declared process and its assumptions
- Finance confirms any cash that depends on converting released time or reducing supplier or technology cost
- A risk owner confirms where a blocking risk is cleared

What independent system observation would still need to establish
Delta-Lite does not connect to operational systems. These questions stay open in the case.
- Whether systems record the process as people describe it
- Actual volumes, timings and exceptions
- The results achieved after any change
Owner validation is accountable review of declared data. It is not:
- Independent verification
- A financial audit
- A certification
- An investment approval
- A savings guarantee
- Uncertainty stays visibleProvisional results, scenarios and sensitivity show how far the case depends on estimates.
- People and real costs remainHuman oversight, AI run and assurance costs and the investment are part of the case, not left out of it.
- Released time is not headcountFreed time is reported as capacity unless finance confirms how it becomes cash.
A case that is clear about its evidence is one leadership can act on.
